Description

This is an 18th-century cottage situated at the end of a row in Upton Lovell village. The exterior is rendered over rubble stone, with a tiled roof and brick stacks, one to the right and a half-hip stack to the left. The cottage is two storeys high with a three-window front. A six-panelled door is located to the left of the centre, sheltered by a 19th-century gabled canopy featuring pierced trefoils. There are two-light segmental-headed casement windows flanking the door. The first floor has a blind window above the door and two-light leaded casement windows on either side. A single-light attic casement is visible on the left return. A brick-walled lean-to addition is present at the rear, along with a brick stack. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is a well-preserved example of an 18th-century building and retains its original character within this part of the village.
