Description
No. 27 is a cottage at the end of a row, dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of random rubble stone, with a thatched roof and a brick stack on the left-hand side. The cottage is two storeys high, with one window. A planked door is set within a trellised wooden porch on the right side, and a two-light leaded casement window is to the left. The eaves have been raised and the upper portion rendered, incorporating another two-light leaded casement. The left return side clearly shows the original rooflines. A two-storey brick outshut with a two-light casement window was added to the rear in the late 18th century, and the rear roof pitch has been tiled.
