Detached cottage. Late C17. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with gable ends and block ridging. Brick stack in left gable-end wall. 1½ storeys. One window. 3-light wood casement with horizontal glazing-bars. Wood lintels. Short rear (north) wing is half-hipped. Front door on side wall, plank door with 2 glazed lights, C19. Wood porch carried on 2 wood posts, gabled corrugated roof, C20. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 260(28)).
