Description

No. 37 is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a thatch roof with gable ends and block ridging. A brick stack is located in the left gable-end wall. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has one window, which is a 3-light wood casement with horizontal glazing bars and wood lintels. At the rear, there is a short half-hipped wing. The front door is situated on the side wall; it is a plank door with two glazed lights, dating from the 19th century. A wood porch, supported by two wood posts and topped with a gabled corrugated roof, was added in the 20th century.
