Description

This building, incorporated into numbers 41 and 43, dates to the late 17th or early 18th century, and has undergone significant alterations since. It is situated set back between numbers 39 and 45 on the High Street. The first floor is rendered, featuring rustic quoins and quoined strips framing the central window. Five narrow sash windows with glazing bars are set within stone moulded bolection surrounds and cornices. The building has flat, bracketed eaves above an early 19th-century slate roof, with gable end brick chimneys. The ground floor has been altered with modern shop premises that extend to the pavement.
