Description

No. 37 High Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. Its symmetrical front is made of ashlar stone and features a projecting plinth with framing pier strips. The building has a moulded cornice with an astragal, a parapet, and gable end chimneys that have moulded capping. The roof is covered with slate. There are three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all of which are glazing bar sashes. The central entrance has a pedimented doorpiece supported by Doric pilasters and features an eight-panel door. One of the panelled piers remains intact to the right of the entrance.
