Description
This is a detached cottage located immediately to the south of Riverdale Cottage, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a corrugated iron roof with gable end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is topped with a hoodmould. To the left of the door is a three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement, also with a hoodmould, while to the right is a two-light casement. On the first floor, there are two two-light and one three-light mullioned casement windows. The cottage has coped verges.
On the right side, there is a two-light casement on the first floor and a single-light window in the attic. The left side features a single-light window on the ground floor, a two-light casement, and a blocked chamfered light with a dripstone in the attic. At the rear, there is a 20th-century lean-to extension, which includes two two-light mullioned casements on the first floor. The interior is reported to have chamfered beams.
