Description
The outbuildings to the north-west of Pinkney Court and The Flat consist of a barn, stables, hayloft, and cowbyres, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries and restored in the 20th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, wooden lintels, stone dressings, and gable stone slate roofs, featuring a small section of Welsh slates on the lean-to shed. The buildings form an L-shaped continuous range around two sides of a courtyard. The seven-bay barn has a cruciform plan, with the south front featuring two plank doors, a cart entrance, and a midstrey with a half-hipped roof, along with pigeon holes below and two-leaf plank gates. The stables and hayloft are located in the angle with a gable to the loft door, and the cowbyres include circular piers.
