Description
Pinkney Court and The Flat is a former farmhouse, now divided into two separate dwellings, dating from around 1680 with 20th-century alterations and additions. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings, and stone slate roofs. The roofs are hipped on the 17th-century sections and gabled on the 20th-century wing, with stone stacks present.
The layout is U-shaped, featuring 17th-century blocks to the south and east, and a 20th-century wing to the north. The south front, which is from the 17th century, has two storeys and five windows. The windows include 2, 3, and 4-light ovolo-moulded mullions with hoodmoulds and small pane casements. There are cambered-headed strainer arches over the ground floor windows in the outer bays. A 20th-century doorway is offset to the right, featuring a plank door and a hoodmould, with a coat of arms positioned above it. The 20th-century wing is designed in a similar style, with a pointed-headed doorway leading to a north porch that also has a plank door. The interior has not been inspected.
