Description

This is a terrace of three houses, located on Rock Road, Torquay, dating from the 1850s. The houses are stuccoed and have hipped slate roofs with brick chimney shafts, one of which is rendered. They are laid out with a double-depth plan, each house being one room wide and featuring front doors on the right side.

The two-storey facade has a 2:2:2 window arrangement. Architectural details include deep boxed eaves, an eaves band, and a first-floor sill band. The ground-floor openings are framed by stuccoed Gibbs surrounds, while the first-floor windows have pilasters. The doorways are round-headed, with recessed four-panel front doors and plain fanlights above. Each house has a round-headed ground-floor window with a 2 over 2 pane sash window and margin panes (with some minor alterations). First-floor windows are 2 over 7-pane sashes with horizontal glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of architectural interest. The property also includes low garden walls and gate piers.
