Description
Torre Cottage is a house located in Torquay, built between 1835 and 1845. It is one of a pair with the Eagle Chinese Restaurant on Brunswick Square. The building has a plastered exterior and a slate roof, featuring stacks with rendered shafts and brick bands.
The house is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front. There are three first-floor windows and a door positioned to the right of centre. The door is a 20th-century addition with a plain overlight and a glazed gabled porch hood that has a dentil cornice. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, each with dentil cornices, while the ground floor features three high transomed casement windows with margin panes and dentil cornices.
The interior has not been inspected but may still have interesting features.
