Description

The Brunswick Hotel and Kathryn Court, located on Brunswick Square in Torquay, are a pair of houses dating from the 1840s, originally built as residences and later adapted for holiday accommodation. The buildings are plaster-faced with hipped slate roofs and rendered stacks topped with cornices. They have a double-depth, double-fronted plan. The eaves are deep, with curved brackets on Kathryn Court, and marked by an eaves band. The outer bays are slightly set forward. Each front has three first-floor and two ground-floor windows, all containing 12-pane sashes. Each house has a panelled front door, centrally located, and a replacement trellis porch. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of architectural interest.
