Description

Edinburgh Villas originally comprised a pair of double-fronted houses, built in the 1830s. The building has been subdivided and is partly used as offices. It features a main range with a central carriageway and rear service wings set at right angles. The external appearance is characterised by a dentil eaves cornice and regular fenestration, with doorways in bays 2 and 6. Bay 2 has an octagonal conservatory hiding the doorway, and bay 6 has a narrow doorway with a modern door and overlight. The ground floor has French windows; those on the left have dentil cornices, one on the right has Venetian shutters, and all have high transomed glazing bars. The first floor features seven flush frame sashes with 12-pane glazing, with five windows having Venetian shutters. There are three gabled dormers to the left. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of architectural interest.
