Description

This is a terrace of four houses located on Higher Street in Lower Brixham. They were built in the early 19th century. The houses have solid rendered walls and slate roofs, with rendered chimneys at each gable end and between numbers 7 and 9. The three-storey facade is symmetrical. Each house is one window wide, with the windows positioned to the right at numbers 3 and 5 and to the left at numbers 7 and 9. Numbers 5 and 7 have doorways adjoining centrally, while numbers 3 and 9 have doorways to the left and right respectively. Numbers 3, 5, and 9 have barred sash windows in box frames with a 4-over-4 pane configuration and margin panes in the top storey. Number 3 has an extra narrow window with an 8-paned fixed sash to the left of the second and third storeys. Number 7 has late 20th-century replacement windows.
