16 and 18 Higher Street are a pair of houses from the early to mid 19th century. They feature rendered walls and slate roofs with rendered end stacks. The houses have a double-depth plan, with one room at the front of each. They are three storeys high and have a two-window range. There are plain floating cornices above mid 20th century doors, and the windows are horned 2/2-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. These houses are included for their group value.
