Description

These are a mirrored pair of early 19th-century houses on Higher Street in Lower Brixham. They are constructed of solid rendered walls with a slate roof and have a rendered chimney on each side wall. The houses are two storeys with a garret. Each house has a window at its outer end, and a pair of doorways are centrally located. Above the doorways is a moulded cornice, with a lugged apron below that, the lugs terminating on small moulded brackets. The windows are barred sashes in box frames: No. 30 has 6 over 6 panes, while No. 32 has a 1 over 1 pane. A deep, flat eaves cornice runs along the building. Centrally placed is a hipped dormer, shared between the two houses.
