Garden walls, gate piers and gates. c1870s. Contemporary with Ardvar (qv), a large Torquay villa. Local grey limestone rubble walls; stuccoed gate piers; timber gate. Garden walls with toothed capping curve in towards the gateway which has square on plan gate piers, each with a deep, plain plinth and a moulded oversailing cornice. Fine timber gate with diagonal bracing below the middle rail and round on plan timber verticals with finials above middle and top rail. Standards have obelisk finials. Included for group value with Ardvar.
