Description

This is an 1847 gate, gate piers, and surrounding wall associated with Ardallan. The gate itself is boarded and sits between square piers constructed of sandstone, featuring overhanging pyramidal coping. The wall is made of coursed squared sandstone with flat coping, running around the house and garden. It is tall at the returns and the rear, where it adjoins an outbuilding with a roof of Welsh slate.
