Description
No. 43 Bath Road is a house that was built around 1840-1850, which has since been used as offices and is now a college. The building is constructed from limestone rubble with an ashlar stone facade. It features a hipped roof covered with mid-20th century tiles and has gable stacks. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays. Inside, there is a central hallway with flanking reception rooms, and the layout is two rooms deep. At the rear left, there is a two-storey extension. The entrance is marked by a Doric pilastered portico, which supports a six-panel door topped with a fanlight. The windows have lugged architraves and bracketed sills, with margin-glazed sashes. The end pilasters transition into quoins on the first floor, just above a string course, and the eaves are adorned with paired modillion brackets.
