Description

The United Reformed Church, dated 1825, is set back from the road and features a pedimented front. It is a two-storey building constructed of ashlar stone, with a first-floor cill band and a moulded cornice, topped by a coped gable. The façade includes three arched glazing bar sash windows set in recesses. A central pilastered doorcase with a blocking course frames a double six-panel door. The gable is adorned with three shaped panels, with the central panel inscribed "Zion Chapel" and the former date of 1825 still visible. Modern railings line the street, retaining a former lamp overthrow. To the right, a brick wall has an arched doorway leading to a side passage. Inside, there are flanking staircases in the lobby that provide access to the galleries.
