Description
No 6 (right hand block) and No 7 are mid to late 18th century buildings that showcase an interesting design in local vernacular style, although they have been sadly altered. They are two storeys high, with No 6 constructed of rubble and roughcast, featuring brick quoined dressings and rusticated segmental arches above the windows. The right side has brick quoins. There is a band over the ground floor. No 6 has three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, with the first-floor windows retaining glazing bar sashes, while the ground-floor windows are modern casements. The door is also modern and is part of a lean-to porch that has numerous windows and two doors, one of which is a six-panel replica. This porch spans the entire centre of the ground floor. The door to No 6 has four reeded panels below and four glazed panels above. No 6 has a slate roof, while No 7 is covered with stone tiles.
