Description

This stable, dating from the mid-19th century, is located about 12 metres north of Tracy Park and is attached to a pair of barns. It features coursed rubble construction with stone dressings and a pantiled roof that has raised coped verges and finials.

The east elevation includes a central gable with a loading door that has a cambered head, a raised surround, and a keystone. There are additional loading doors under the eaves on either side, also in the same surround, along with a small curved triangular opening in the gable. The elevation also has two tall doors in a similar surround, a central window, and two two-light windows on each side, with hitching hooks flanking the central window.

On the south gable end, there is a blocked segmental-headed opening with a keystone, an eight-pointed recessed star above it, and a trefoil-headed owl hole. The north gable end features a pigeon loft entry and a small addition with a pitched roof that has four bays, a tie-beam, a collar, one row of purlins, and a ridge purlin. The rear of the stable has various windows and a central door, all within the same surround, along with a single-storey addition that includes a segmental-headed door with a keystone, a two-light window with a chamfered mullion, a tall door reaching the eaves, and a small pointed arched opening in the gable end.
