Description
This stable, located about 7 metres south west of Court Farmhouse, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with stone and brick dressings, topped with a concrete tiled roof featuring raised coped verges and kneelers at the front, along with a stone ridge. The building has a T-plan layout and is two storeys high, with gable fronts on all wings. The windows are arranged in a 1:1 pattern, consisting of single or two-light round-headed windows that have leaded diamond lights, flat heads, and weathered cills. There is a door with a chamfered segmental head located centrally on the left block and on the west side of the front wing, along with a small bull's-eye window in the gable. The west side features a loading door at the upper level, while the east side has a two-light casement window with a segmental head at ground level. The rear of the stable includes a cart entry with a gauged brick segmental head, a loading door above, and a bull's-eye window on each side, topped with a weathervane on the gable front. There is also a single-storey extension to the right. The interior roof is not accessible.
