Description

The Lawns is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with part of the right side rendered, and features a hipped slate roof with ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows, all of which are 16-pane sashes. The first floor includes a central round-headed sash with splayed glazing bars, and there is a central panelled and glazed door flanked by pilasters and topped with an open pediment.

To the left, there is a single-storey flat-roofed addition with a similar sash window on the front and left return. To the right, there is another single-storey addition with two similar sashes. The building also has a band course, cornice, parapet, and coping. The left return features single-storey 20th-century additions, while the right return has a boxed sash window at ground floor level. The rear of the property includes a lower two-storey wing with a 20th-century window on the inner side at both ground and first floor levels, as well as a two-storey 20th-century addition to the rear, which has a boxed sash window on the left at both levels. The interior has not been inspected.
