Description
Bury Hill Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with 20th-century alterations. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, with the lower ground floor rendered, and the rear and left return in brick. It has a double Roman tiled mansard roof with raised coped verges and brick gable stacks. The building follows a U-plan with a symmetrical front elevation. The front facade has two storeys and three windows, all being 2-light casements with wave-moulded mullions and flat surrounds. A central 20th-century brick gabled porch with a door is present. The right return features a 2-light attic window with a timber lintel and a ground-floor 20th-century window. The rear wing has a ground-floor casement matching those on the front and a first-floor 20th-century window. The left return includes a 2-light attic window like the front, and the attached rear wing has ground and first-floor windows similar to the front. Both rear wings have mansard roofs, featuring varied windows and doors with segmental heads. A single-storey lean-to addition is located on the right wing. The interior was not inspected.
