Description
The Pinnell chest tomb, located 6.5 metres north of the north west corner of the War Memorial Lych Gate in Yate, is a Grade II listed structure. It commemorates Betty Pinnell, who died in 1846. The tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and features a plain altar design with a ridged top, oval ends, and reeded pilasters. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms, enhancing the overall setting of the church.
