Description
No. 1 Church Road is a schoolmaster's house, now a private residence, built around 1855. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features a 20th-century tiled roof along with rubble and freestone stacks. It is designed in a Tudor Gothic style and is a single-storey structure. The facade includes four 2-light casement windows, each with cusped ogee heads and mouchettes above, all set beneath a dripmould. To the left, there is a plank door framed by a moulded surround with a 4-centred head, also topped with a dripmould.
