Schoolmaster's house, now part of larger house. Mid-C19. Snecked irregularly dressed brown-sandstone with plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Chamfered plinth, deep eaves; integral stone and brick end stack to right. 2-window front; 2-light small-paned wooden casements with stone cills and lintels; 3 stone steps up to central 6-panelled door (lower 2 flush and top 4 recessed) with architrave and tall-shaped brackets supporting open triangular-pedimented hood. One-storey outbuilding adjoining house to right. Interior not inspected. This house now forms part of a larger house with the former Free School (q.v.) adjoining to the south-west which occupies a prominent position in the village. Included for group value.
