Description
No. 1 Quickwood is a house that was formerly the school-master's house, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from roughly dressed stone and features a graduated slate roof. The building has a two-storey, two-by-one bay layout with a gable entrance. The central door is topped by an overlight and has a square-cut surround. There are three windows with stone lintels and sills, along with a small window to the left of the door, which also has a square-cut surround. All the windows are 20th-century casements. Similar windows are found on the left and right sides of the building. There is a stack on the side wall. This house is included in the listing for its group value.
