Description
No. 107 High Street is a schoolmaster's house built in 1896. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate hipped roof with a single chimney stack. The entrance front has a segment-headed entrance arch on the left and a 4-light mullion window on the right. Above, there is a single 2-light mullion window, and to the right, a 3-light dormer window that sits through the eaves, featuring a coped gable, kneelers, and a ball finial. The northeast front includes a 3-light mullion window, with a single light window above. To the right, there is a projecting two-storey square bay that has a 4-light window and a 3-light dormer window above, also with a coped gable, kneelers, and a ball finial. This building is an important part of a high-quality group of school buildings and is included for its group value.
