Description

Starbeck Hall is a circa 1810 building, originally used as a workhouse until 1854 and renovated around 1972. It is three storeys high and has a 2:3:2 window arrangement. The roof is tiled with a coped gable, eaves cornice, and finials to the kneelers. The building is constructed of stone ashlar, with a projecting three-bay centre featuring an elaborate “Dutch” gable topped with urn finials. It has recessed sash windows with glazing bars. A mid-19th century porch is situated within an earlier porch, featuring a console bracketed cornice and a panelled door.
