Description
No. 109 High Street is a schoolmaster's house built in 1896. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a double stack. The entrance front has a segment-headed entrance arch, and to the left, there is a four-light mullion window. Above this, there is a two-light mullion window, and to the left, a three-light through-eaves dormer, which has a coped gable, kneelers, and a ball finial.
On the southwest front, there is a three-light mullion window and above it, a single-light window. To the left, there is a two-storey projecting square bay with a four-light mullion window, and above this, there are two three-light through-eaves dormer windows, each with two coped gables, kneelers, and ball finials. This building is an important part of a well-preserved group of school buildings and is included for its group value.
