7/216 The White Lion - II

House, now a public house. Late C16, altered C18 and C20. Rendered; Bridgewater tile roof with coped raised verges; ashlar ridge stacks. 2 storeys and attics. Four C20 2- and 3-light casement windows on ground floor, 3 cross windows on first floor. Off-centre entrance to left, C20 door and gabled projecting porch. Interior: formerly a cross passage and in the room to the left is a framed ceiling with double ogee moulded beams and converging stops; the roof has tie and collar beam trusses with slots for the (now removed) windbraces.
