Description
This chest tomb, dating from the mid-18th century, is located 5 metres south of the southeast corner of the south transept of the Church of St Mary in Yate. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a square shape with illegible panels and enriched side panels. The tomb includes corner balusters, as well as a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms, enhancing the overall setting of the church.
