Description
This chest tomb, dating from the mid-18th century, is located 9 metres south of the south-west corner of the south transept of the Church of St Mary in Yate. It is made of limestone ashlar and features illegible square inscribed panels, lyre-shaped ends, and a moulded plinth and cornice. The chest tombs in this area represent a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs and significantly enhance the church's setting.
