Description
No. 8 and 9 Quay Road is a warehouse located on the wharf, likely built in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of Plymouth limestone rubble, featuring rock-faced quoins and red brick dressings around the windows and door jambs. It has steel lintels above the doorways and a flat roof. The building has a shallow rectangular plan and stands four storeys tall, with a symmetrical front that includes a four-window range and small windows on either side of the doorways. The doors are from the 20th century, with planked designs and toplights for the upper floors. The interior has not been inspected. This warehouse is part of a notable group of buildings on the Barbican quayside.
