Description
39 Southside Street is a shop premises located in Plymouth, featuring an early 19th-century front that may conceal a much older core. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a dry slate mansard roof with a modillion eaves cornice. There is a brick end stack on the left side of the building. It has a deep narrow plan and stands three storeys tall with a one-window range. The first floor showcases a tall original 12-pane hornless sash window, while above it is a later 8-pane horned sash window set in a square opening. The ground floor features an original moulded cornice above a 20th-century double shopfront that includes a central doorway. The interior has not been inspected.
