Description
The Cider Press Public House is a former warehouse, now functioning as a public house, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from Plymouth limestone rubble, featuring dressed voussoirs that span the openings on the ground and first floors. The building has a dry slate hipped roof, with a short brick stack at the right-hand corner and a truncated stack set back from the left-hand corner. It has a rectangular plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. There are central former loading doorways leading to the upper floors. The first-floor windows and ground-floor openings are topped with segmental arches, and the ground floor includes a wide doorway to the left of centre and a window immediately to its right. The windows and glazed doors on the ground floor are modern, featuring three lights and glazing bars. Inside, there are remnants of fireplaces located in each of the front corners.
