Description
No. 6 Southside Street is a warehouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from roughly coursed Plymouth limestone rubble, featuring brick segmental arches on the upper floors and timber lintels on the ground floor. The building has a slate hipped roof and a square plan with a rounded front corner on the right. It stands three storeys tall and has a symmetrical two-window range on the upper floors. The ground floor includes large central loading doorways flanked by small 4-pane windows. There is a central former doorway that has been converted into a window, an original window opening on the right with casements and glazing bars, and a wide doorway to an enlarged former window opening on the left, which has ledged doors and security bars on the windows. The interior has not been inspected.
