GV II

Wharf warehouse. Mid/late C19. Plymouth limestone rubble with some dressed quoins and jambs; brick segmental arches and timber lintels; slate roof with coped gable with acroteria at the front. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 2-window-range front end, originally symmetrical with central doorway to each floor in diminishing sizes; ground-floor doorway widened to the left and window left of this now a narrow doorway; small round-arched ventilator windows flanking attic doorway and hoist above. Original unglazed window with stanchions and internal shutters to 1st-floor left; window with external shutters to ground-floor right; 2-light casement above; planked doors. INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to retain original floors and roof structure. This is now one of the least altered warehouses in the Barbican. Included for historical and group value.
