Description
No. 101 Rotherhithe Street is a small granary warehouse built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stock brick and features a coped gable end facing the street. The building has two storeys and consists of one bay. The ground floor is rendered and includes double doors with an iron grille fanlight set under a cambered arch. There is a hatch on the first floor with a gangway leading to East India Wharf. The riverfront has a plain parapet with coping, hatches on both the ground and first floors, and a small window to the left. The interior has not been inspected. This warehouse is part of one of the best remaining groups of warehouses along the Thames, which rise directly from the quay and are clustered around St Mary Rotherhithe and St Marychurch Street.
