Description
Nos. 3, 5, and 7 Eton Place is a planned terrace of three houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with stucco detailing, featuring dry slate and asbestos slate roofs that are set behind stuccoed parapets with moulded cornices and modillions, hipped at the ends. The end stacks are either stuccoed or rendered. Each house has a double-depth plan, with two reception rooms at the front. The central house has a central entrance hall, while the end houses have entrance halls located behind the front rooms.
The terrace is two storeys high, with each house displaying a symmetrical three-window front, divided by quoin strips. The windows are late 19th-century horned sashes, set within moulded architraves that have segmental heads on the first floor. These are framed by pilasters and have moulded hoods on the ground floor. The central house features a pilastered and pedimented doorway, while the end houses have pilastered doorways that are centrally located on their return elevations. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
