Description

Christadelpian Hall is a villa from the mid-19th century, now serving as a place of worship. It is part of a planned group of villas and features stucco with stucco detailing, an asbestos slate hipped roof with a low-pitched central gable, and stuccoed end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan, likely consisting of two rooms at the front with an entrance hall behind a central porch.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The ground floor has original 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the first floor has 20th-century windows. Notable stucco details include end pilasters, channelled rustication on the ground floor with rusticated voussoirs above segmental window arches, a mid-floor band, and moulded sills on balustered aprons at the first floor. The pilastered porch features a balustrade at the center of the parapet, a simple entablature, and a plain architrave surrounding a wide doorway with a pair of panelled doors from the 20th century.

The interior has not been inspected but may hold interest. The property also includes subsidiary features such as side garden walls that return at the front, forming a low coped stuccoed wall with square gate-piers that have plinths and squat pyramidal caps. Christadelpian Hall is part of a notable group of mid-19th century villas.
