Description
The Royal Hotel, dated 1830, is designed in the Tudor Gothic style. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys with three windows, plus one in a gabled cross wing that has two and a half storeys. The windows are two and three-light casements with arched heads, set back in square openings, and are topped with dripmoulds that have stop-chamfered details above. The central projecting gabled bay contains an arch-headed door in a square opening and a corbelled-out oriel window. Above the central window, there is a date stone set in a recessed panel.
