Description
Nos 41 and 43 on South Street date from around the 1840s and are designed in the Tudor-Gothic style. The building is two storeys high and constructed from ashlar stone. It features coped gables with saddlestones and kneelers, and has a central chimney with four diagonal shafts. The slate roof includes a gabled break on the right side of the road front. There are two ranges of windows, with the ground floor having two-and three-light mullioned windows that have drip moulds; the right side of the ground floor includes a window with a transom, while the left side on the first floor does not have a drip mould. On the south side, there are two first-floor windows, both of the two-light mullioned type, each with gables above. A lean-to structure on the ground floor screens the doors.
