Description
The park walls to the north-west of Wilton, located north of the River Nadder, date from the mid-18th century. They were commissioned by the 9th Earl of Pembroke and constructed in a style reminiscent of Roman architecture, using large rubble blocks with wide brick bands and weathered stone capping. The walls extend from the River Nadder, at the bottom of the gardens of No. 27 South Street, and continue along the stream at the bottom of the gardens of Nos. 4 Silver Street and Nos. 19 and 20 Kingsbury Square. Some sections have been repaired over time.
