Description

Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 19th century, built in a style reminiscent of the 17th century. The farmhouse is dated "I.A.G. (James Gordon)/1837" on the stacks. It is constructed of rendered material and has a tiled roof with coped raised verges and a cornice. The stacks are of ashlar and feature arms, the date, and crested tops. The farmhouse is two storeys and has attics. It has a three-bay design, with end buttresses that are offset. The windows are two-light casements with moulded mullions and surrounds, all under dripmoulds. A central, projecting two-storey porch features a decorative, stepped and curvilinear gable with a thick roll moulding and a moulded doorcase with a four-centred head. The outer bays have steep gables topped with finials and single-light windows. To the left is a two-storey, two-bay wing, and to the right, a single-storey, two-bay wing.
