Description
The fountain set in the wall at Pier Copse is a late 19th-century feature located on the north side of Alexandra Road. It is constructed with a stone surround and topped with a gabled roof. The fountain has a green glazed tile plinth that includes an arched recess containing a tap. Inside the recess, there is a blue scallop shell design along with russet leaves that have brown veins. Additional foliage details are present around the surround. Above the recess, there is a scrolled pediment topped with a blue and green glazed finial. This fountain is part of a group that includes the Pier, the Tollhouse, Marine Parade, and Nos 19 and 20 The Beach.
