Description

The fountain in the middle of Wavertree Park is a late 19th-century structure made of stone and iron. It features a base with two tiers of trefoil stone basins. At the center, there is a naturalistic iron piece that originally had two shell basins supported by Liver birds, although two of the birds are now missing. Between the shell basins, there are fish. The shell basins once had birds on their scroll bases, but only the feet remain. Additionally, there is a lamp standard adorned with naturalistic foliage, but the lamp itself is missing.
