No 38 Hill Road, probably built in the mid 19th century, is a two-storey building with ashlar fronts that meet at an angle. It features banded quoins, a dentil cornice, and a blocking course. The facade includes five windows with architrave surrounds and sill brackets, which contain sashes with glazing bars. The overall shop front is located at No 38, while there is a shop front and doorway with an architrave surround at No 1 Marine Hill.
