Description

Stancliff House is an early to mid-19th century, three-story house situated above Wellington Terrace. The front is of rubble construction with some ashlar dressings, and the central section slightly projects. The building features banded quoins and stringcourses, topped by a moulded cornice and parapet. It has three windows on each floor, set in plain surrounds with sill brackets and metal-framed shutters. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Splayed bays are present on the ground floor, and a central glazed porch is incorporated. Stancliff House forms a group with Melbourne House.
